Many fans were alarmed when allegations of Gong Yoo's poor health condition became viral on Chinese social media. However, the "Goblin" actor's agency recently denied the said allegations.
Speculations are rife that Gong's health has been affected given the cold filming conditions for some of the scenes in the tvN drama "Goblin." A Chinese media outlet even claimed that the South Korean actor is suffering from serious health problems, according to All Kpop.
Following the release of the said news report, many Chinese fans took to various social networking services to express their concern for the actor. Some fans even commented that Gong appears to be looking tired in recently aired episodes of "Goblin."
However, the actor's agency Soop Entertainment refuted the said health claims, as indicated in the same report. Denying allegations that Gong has serious health problems, the agency also commented that the actor has been hard at work completing filming activities for the tvN drama.
The entertainment agency even mentioned that the actor's tight filming schedule may be the reason why he may look worn out to fans. Given the impending end of "Goblin," Gong and fellow co-stars have been busy filming the scenes for the remaining four episodes.
In other news, episode 14 of the tvN drama has been pushed back to give the production team more time to prepare and edit the upcoming episodes. A source from the said drama told Chosun that given the tight filming schedule, the crew had limited time to complete CGI work and other post-production tasks.
Meanwhile, episode 13 will still be released on Jan. 13 and a special episode will be aired on Jan. 14. With the broadcast schedule changes, viewers can expect to watch episode 14 on Jan. 20, while episodes 15 and 16 will be released back-to-back on Jan. 21.
"Goblin" will end its 16-episode run on Jan. 21. Watch a clip from the tvN drama below:
