"The Originals" Season 4, episode 1 will premiere on March 5. Ahead of its release, spoilers for the installment have already been released. As exciting as this information are, it seems that "The Originals" is also in danger of being axed from The CW even before the Season 4 premiere. In the premiere episode, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) will be reuniting with Elijah (Daniel Gillies). While speaking with TV Line, executive producer Michael Narducci expressed his excitement over the two characters' storylines. Since the couple has one of the most dynamic relationships in the hit The CW series, Narducci confirmed that Hayley will do everything she can to bring Elijah and his siblings back.
Meanwhile, even though Hayley will most likely be romantically linked to Elijah, this does not mean that she will distance herself from Hope's father, Klaus (Joseph Morgan). In an interview with the same publication, Narducci said that Hayley and Klaus will continue to be in a good place when the series returns.
"He was able to do what he had to in order to save his siblings, and he was able to trust his child in the hands of this woman he has come to respect and trust more than he does a lot of other people," the exec explained.
In other news, The CW already name dropped the TV shows that they want to pick up for another season, and "The Originals" did not make the cut as of late. However, network president Mark Pedowitz stressed that fans of the series should not worry because "The Originals" cannot be renewed since Season 4 has not premiered yet.
Pedowitz added that a discussion with the other network heads and "The Originals" executive producer Julie Plec will most likely be scheduled in May. He added that he personally wants "The Originals" to continue even without "The Vampire Diaries" on The CW anymore since he is a huge fan of the show and Plec. But the decision will ultimately depend on its performance and ratings.
