LG hints that its upcoming smartphone, the LG G6, would be an ideal smartphone that will come with most desirables features.
LG has released a new teaser video that shows off the upcoming features of LG G6. In the teaser video, people are asked to express their thoughts on the features of an ideal smartphone. Several people responded by saying that they want a smartphone with larger display for multi-tasking along with a compact. Users have also asked for one-hand usability.
Earlier this week, LG Display announced a newer type of smartphone display that offers a quad HD+ resolution of 1440 x 288- pixels. The size of the screen is 5.7 inches and it supports aspect ratio of 18:9. It is capable of producing a pixel density of 564 ppi.
LG has said that the new display would be incorporated in its next flagship. Hence, the upcoming LG G6 is heavily pegged to come fitted with this new display.
It eats up 30 percent less power than the regular quad HD display and it delivers enhanced outdoor visibility. It makes the smartphone taller and sport a compact body that makes easier to use the device with one hand.
Android 7.0 Nougat carries native support for multi-window feature to run apps side-by-side on the screen. The new wide screen revealed by LG seems to be very suitable for multi-window feature. The LG G6 is also expect to sport slimmer bezels, Phone Arena reported.
In the teaser video, people are also for a camera that can "capture it all at once." The LG G5 and LG V20 are both graced with dual camera setups. Hence, the LG G6 is expected to arrive with a stellar dual camera on its rear panel.
Water resistance is another desirable feature for an ideal smartphone in the video released by LG. Hence, the LG G6 is likely to be the first smartphone from the company to come with IP68 certified chassis. It is also expected to introduce a display replacement program for LG G6, Droid Life reported.
As far as design of LG G6, the company has confirmed in the past that it won't be bringing back the modular design that was introduced on LG G5. LG G6 rumors have also revealed that it won't feature a removable battery.
"Your wishes for the ideal smartphone will come to life. Stay tuned for its arrival in February 2017" is the text present on the description area on YouTube. Hence, the smartphone is slated for an unveil at the MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2017 event that will be held at Barcelona, Spain from Feb. 27 to March 2
