The latest details and spoilers for "Legends of Tomorrow" will feature a new trailer, Captain Cold's return and Reverse-Flash's goal in the second haft.
A new trailer for "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 will feature what happened to Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) during the second haft of the series. It seems that the Legion of Doom is after the former Time Master as he knows the location of the Spear of Destiny and the Legends must get to him first before they do.
It is revealed in the midseason finale that Rip Hunter was in fact alive but the circumstances show that he lives in a different memory as a film student named Phil with an American accent and is making a movie related to himself. The trailer revealed the truth as Gideon stated that Rip wipe out his own memories and replaced with a new one, thus explaining why he does not remember his teammates or his previous time with them, Screenrant reported.
Now that Legends found their leader, they will have to find a way to gain his memories back. Several behind-the-scenes photos revealed that another Rip is found during the American Civil War, perhaps its an indication that more of Rip's memories are scattered throughout time and the Legends must find him before the Legion of Doom.
Meanwhile, Eobard Thawne/Reverse-Flash's (Matt Letscher) goal in "Legends of Tomorrow" has been speculated to use to the Spear of Destiny for the sole purpose of killing his nemesis, Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin).
YouTube channel Emergency Awesome explained that that Reverse-Flash will use the Spear of Destiny to become a god-like being and kill The Flas from existance as he knows that by killing him, he will not exist in the first place. Thawne will also use the spear as a way to rewrite all of time and reality for his own agenda.
Lastly, "Prison Break" star and fellow cast member Wentworth Miller teased another appearance as Leonard Snart/Captain Cold in the second haft of "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2.
Snart appeared in the midseason finale, but as a delusion of sorts from Mick Rory/Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell). Miller told Entertainment Weekly (via Heroic Hollywood) that he thinks Captain Cold's return to show will be a different version of his character, the pre-Legends, a straigh up villain before he met Rip, Sara Lance (Caity Lotz), Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) and among others.
Miller also added that their will be some tension with his new teammates in the Legion of Doom as he stated that Snart is not a team player and does not take kindly to taking orders from everyone.
It is unknown as to which episode from the second haft of "Legends of Tomorrow" will Captain Cold reappear, but having him in the Legion of Doom will have some serious psychological and emotional problems from the Legends especially from Mick and Sara.
"Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 will return on Jan. 24, 2017 at 9pm on the CW Network.
