Cast members of the South Korean variety program "2 Days 1 Night" recently welcomed Jung Joon Young back to the KBS show. Despite expressing an enthusiastic response over the singer's reappearance, the stars of the variety show had no idea of Jung's return, according to Kim Jong Min.
The last quarter of 2016 was a tough period for Jung. The musician was involved in a controversy where his former girlfriend filed a sexual assault case against him.
Given the controversy, Jung decided to temporarily leave the KBS variety program although he was soon found innocent of the alleged sexual assault. Despite the acquittal, the South Korean musician extended his break to focus on completing his upcoming album.
Recently, the singer surprised the "2 Days 1 Night" cast members when he suddenly joined them during the show's filming activities on Jan. 6, Friday. In a recent interview with local reporters, Kim shared that they were shocked when they saw Jung on-set, All Kpop quoted the cast member as saying.
It appears that the production staff decided to surprise the show's cast members with Jung's return. Kim even mentioned how he and his fellow cast members initially thought that the singer will not be able to rejoin the show. He stated, "We thought Jung Joon Young was going somewhere else."
In other news, Cha Tae Hyun was able to convince his celebrity friend Jo In Sung to make a guest appearance in the said KBS variety program. However, the actor's potential cameo is linked to the box-office performance of Jo's latest movie "The King."
In a recent V app broadcast, as cited by Xports News, Cha challenged the actor to dunk himself in the water while on the KBS show if the said movie reached ticket sales of 8 million. Jo may have expressed his hesitation over the said challenge given the cold winter season, but eventually accepted Cha's request.
