"Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" stars Milla Jovovich and Lee Jun Ki aka Lee Joon Gi reunited in South Korea to promote their movie. The actress and her husband and director Paul W.S. Anderson arrived in the country and were welcomed by Lee.
Lee gave Jovovich a souvenir gift on Jan. 12, Thursday, just before a hearty dinner and the Hollywood actress gleefully accepted the gift while her 51-year-old husband watched smiling, according to All KPop. Jovovich posted on her Instagram account a photo of her and Lee with a plate of sautéed pig's feet.
The following day, Jan. 13, Friday, Jovovich, Anderson and Lee attended a press conference for the movie in Seoul. The actress and her South Korean co-star goofed around with each other and made heart shapes together on the carpet ahead of the press conference, according to Daily Mail.
"Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" is based on a popular video game with the same title by Japanese video game firm Capcom. The final installment picks up three weeks after the events in the 2012 "Resident Evil: Retribution" which earned $240 million in the worldwide box office.
To settle everything, Jovovich's character Alice goes to Raccoon City which is now in ruins to take down the Umbrella Corporation that is depopulating humanity. Lee plays as the Umbrella Corporation's villainous Commander Lee.
Also starring Shawn Roberts, Ali Larter, Eoin Macken, Iain Glen, William Levy and Ruby Rose, "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" is the sixth and final installment of the "Resident Evil" film franchise. It was released on Dec. 23, 2016 in Japan and will open in theaters in the United States on Jan. 27, and in South Korea on Jan. 28.
It was in 2002 when Jovovich and Anderson met while working on the original "Resident Evil" which he wrote and directed. The two married in August 2009 and have a daughter and a son together.
