During the shooting of a reality show "Dropped" in Argentina, two helicopters collided in the mid-air, which killed all the eight cast members and the two pilots, and the reason for the collision is still unknown.
According to media reports, all of these cast members are French nationals and they were all filming a television survival series in the rugged mountains of La Rioja when the accident took place, according to Yahoo News. The tragic scene occurred in the province of a Southwest country.
The investigating team found out and reported by the BBC News that the victims are three Olympic stars. Among the victims are Florence Arthaud, a popular champion sailor, Camille Muffat, a gold medalist in the Olympic Games, and Alexis Vastine also an Olympic boxer. Added to the list are the two Argentine pilots of the aircrafts.
The French Television survival series Dropped is composed of eight sports stars that should be deployed in an environment with inhospitable ambiance. It was last February when the team of channel TF1 started filming in another location situated at Ushuaia and they moved to the mountainous region of La Rioja.
The wreckage lasted for four hours, so there were a team of police officers as well as fire fighters who worked together to recover the bodies.
These two helicopters were actually involved in the filming of the show. These sports stars are deployed in rugged terrains from the helicopters where they need to look for their own sources of food and water for survival. However, the events did not turn it that way as this unwanted incident happened.
The reason of the collision was still unknown because the weather is reported to be in good condition. Investigators are already on their way to solve this case after recovering all the bodies of the tragic incident where nobody survived.
