More details about Kim Kardashian's traumatic experience in Paris last year has emerged online. News outlets have picked up an article by French newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche on Sunday which detailed the reality star's verbal statement about her robbery incident to the French police last October.
According to E! News, NBC News has confirmed the accuracy of the report by the French newspaper and pointed out that the local police have yet to release a report. Moreover, Kardashian has not commented on the said publication.
People learned she gave her first account of the robbery incident to the French police last Oct. 3 at 4:30 a.m., "hours after she escaped from her restraints and called for help".
As various reports revealed, Kardashian was at the City of Lights for the Fashion Week. She was robbed at gunpoint by masked men inside her room at No Address Hotel and reportedly lost $10 million worth of jewelry including her massive engagement ring from rapper husband Kanye West.
On the night she was robbed, her sister Kourtney and assistant Stephanie Sheppard changed clothes to prepare for a night out. The reality star explained she was not joining them so she went to her room to work on her computer.
Kardashian, who heard a noise at the door, shouted, asking if someone was there. When no one responded to her call, she contacted her bodyguard at 2:56 a.m. She then saw two people arrive including the man at the reception who was tied up.
The report which was translated to English by People also revealed Kardashian's description of the men who robbed her. According to her, "It's the one with the ski goggles who stayed with me. He demanded with a strong French accent, my ring. I told him that I didn't know, he took out a gun and I showed him the ring."
Aside from her $4 million dollar ring, Kardashian disclosed other jewelry taken from her. Among these were two diamond Cartier bracelets, a gold and diamond Jacob necklace, Lorraine Schwartz diamond earring and a gold Rolex.
In a report by US Weekly last Friday, six out of the 17 suspects in the Kardashian robbing incident in Paris had been charged. The article also revealed that one of the first four suspects include the brother of her limo chauffeur, who drove while in the French city.
The identified suspects were charged with "armed robbery within a gang", "kidnapping" and "criminal association" and may face up to 30 years in prison. Some of them were also "accused of possession of ammunition", "impersonation" and "holding false administrative documents".
