Recently, the company is facing some of its biggest issues, specifically the less than adequate battery life of their 2016 models of MacBook Pro. With this, Apple has launched the new "Using Significant Energy" that will reduce the brightness of the display.
Apple released a statement regarding about the issue and addressed an explanation as well as a promise to get a better understanding of how the battery is performing on their MacBook. In relation to its update, the company fixed bugs in Safari that was apparently the cause of unpredictable battery life. This issue leads to Consumer Reports to finally give the laptops a recommended tag.
The multinational technology company has later launched the fourth beta for MacOS Sierra 10.12.3 with a new battery-focused feature to resolve the issue. The latest beta will now warn users if their display is too bright and has been using much of the battery life. Apple also extended its features including a new "Using Significant Energy" button that will show up when the monitor or screen's brightness is higher than 75 percent.
Macbook Pro's significant brightness is defined by 13 out of 16 people being active when turning the brightness up or down. Through the latest release of macOS Sierra 10.12.3 and by setting up the brightness of the display higher than 75 percent, the new macOS Sierra beta will instantly signal and also by selecting the options for the display brightness, it lowers back down to 75 percent.
Most of the users will be able to click on the new entry in the significant energy section of the list that immediately set the brightness back down to 75 percent. Apple says the MacBook Pros have a battery life of 10 hours but has been criticized by users because their laptop did not last as long as they should, 9 to 5 Mac reported.
This new "Using Significant Energy" feature is currently limited to beta testers but will be available to all as soon as MacOS 10.12.3 will be released officially. Meanwhile, Apple releases a statement recently that the upcoming update ensures consumers that they will improve the stability, compatibility, and security of Mac.
