Finding Dory, the movie about a fish with a bad memory just won for the favorite film of the year.
According to Los Angeles Times, the utterly adorable movie took home the award as the Favorite Movie and Family Movie in the People's Choice Awards, hosted by Joel McHale at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, last Wednesday, Jan. 18.
The awards was announced as Ellen DeGeneres found her way to the stage to also receive her trophies Favorite Daytime TV Host, Favorite Collaboration and Favorite Animated Movie Voice, presented by longtime friend Justin Timberlake, Indie Wire reported.
Other movies also nominated under the category Favorite Movie were "Captain America: Civil War", "Deadpool", "Suicide Squad" and "Zootopia".
If you have not seen Finding Dory yet, the movie was about Dory the fish who, for a long time, has forgotten that she has a family out there that might be looking for her. Along with her friends Nemo (from Finding Nemo) and Marlin, they took off for a life-changing adventure across the ocean and reached California's Marine Life Institute to find her parents.
