Korean A-list actors Kim Tae Hee and Jung Ji-Hoon, more commonly known as Rain, are set to leave for their honeymoon in Bali, Indonesia, as confirmed by their management agencies on Jan. 20. The 34-year-old actor and singer and the 37-year-old actress got married in the afternoon of Jan. 19 in Seoul.
Rain Company and Lua Entertainment confirmed in a joint press release on Jan. 20 that the newly wed top celebrity couple would leave for their honeymoon on Jan. 22, Soompi reported. Tae Hee and Rain will have a five-day honeymoon in an undisclosed location on the Indonesian Island.
"Jung Ji Hoon and Kim Tae Hee, who tied the knot with many people's blessings on January 19, will be setting off for Bali for their honeymoon on January 22. With much attention and blessings from the public, the couple smoothly completed their wedding mass ceremony, and will be enjoying their time together in Indonesia's Bali over a 5-day honeymoon," read Rain Company and Lua Entertainment's joint press release.
Unlike other Korean celebrities who usually choose five-star hotels for their nuptials, Tae Hee and Ji Hoon chose to hold a low-key wedding ceremony at Gaheo-Dong Cathedra in Jongno-gu, Seoul. Sine they are both Catholics, they decided to follow their religious convictions for their wedding and marry at a Catholic church amid the considerable attention from their fans not just in Korea and but also in other parts of the world.
According to The Star, only around 50 guests were invited to witness their wedding ceremony, most of which were Tae Hee and Rain's selected relatives and friends. The low-key ceremony was also highlighted by Tae Hee's humble gown.
Instead of donning an extravagant wedding dress, the bride donned a modest gown designed by her own stylist. It was a long-sleeved white dress with flowers as embroideries. The gown was cut short around the knees and her veil was short, falling around the middle area of her back. One of the organizers of the wedding disclosed that Tae Hee personally offered her own ideas when it comes to the design of her gown, while her stylist brought the fabric and other materials and sewed the dress.
