The latest Pokemon Go leak leans toward more upcoming Pokemon for the augmented reality game. Thanks to dataminers from SilphRoad, new line of codes on the game suggests the coming of second-generation Pokemon and brand new moves.
The popular Pokemon Go research community Silph Road took it to their hands in digging for more possible updates on the Pokemon Go's future content. After the latest patch launched by Niantic, which addresses several bug fixes and minor update, dataminers from the SilphRoad discovered more updates that could be hinted for future release, such as new moves, evolution stones, shiny and gender Pokemon, and more.
In the source code, dataminers stumbled on the evolutionary items that debuted in Pokemon Gold and Silver of Game Boy Color, namely the Dragon Scale, King's Rock, Metal Coat, Sun Stone, and Up-Grade.
To recall, the said items are used in Gold and Silver franchises by giving them to corresponding classic, first-generation Pokémon in order to transform it into a new type of monster; these Pokémon include Gloom, Slowpoke, Onix, Seadra and Porygon.
On another note, the dataminers also deciphered the appearance of the alphabet-shaped Pokemon that is introduced in the second-generation Pokemon, called Unown. According to iPost, the following Unown forms have been actually mentioned in the latest game code, which is from Unown A up to Unown Z including Unown Question Mark and Unown Exclamation Point.
Besides the upcoming Pokemon, 38 new moves are also found inside the game's code, which will give players more heat on the battle, such as "Counter," "Bullet Seed," "Dragon Tail," and "Iron Tail" quick moves. The Charge abilities will introduce some powerful skills like "Aurora Beam" and "Future Sight."
As an added feature, the Previous APK versions introduced code for Shiny Pokemon and Pokemon genders. So in the upcoming v0.53.1, Niantic will bring even more code to support these variants. New avatar customization options are also added; now the belt, glasses, and necklace parts can be changed to make avatars more personalized.
Players will also be seeing a "News" section in the game, which will cover future updates and events in a more official and referencable format.
As of press time, Niantic has not yet released official statement on the upcoming release for these leaks.
