The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release is said to be imminent. The sudden promotional discounts on Microsoft Surface Pro 4 sparked the rumors that the company may be trying to get rid of the old stock before launching Microsoft Surface Pro 5.
The Microsoft Store in the United Kingdom was the first one to run a promotional discount program for the upcoming device. Users could avail a discount of upto 15 percent on some variants of Microsoft Surface Pro 4.
Similarly, users in the United States could also avail some good discounts of upto $100. The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 M3 model bereft of the Surface Pen stylus has the maximum discount. The Australian users can get a heavy discount of AU$450 on this variant compared to just $100 in the U.S.

The practice of launching new software alongside new Surface products is nothing new. Microsoft has followed it in the past with Surface Pro 3 and hence, it is expected that this year also, it will not be an exception.
Meanwhile, the upcoming Microsoft Surface Pro 5 specs may include latest Intel's seventh-generation Kaby Lake processors. These processors boast of not only better capabilities with respect to speed but also good heat dissipation features so the upcoming device may get better battery life compared to its predecessors.
The inclusion of Kaby Lake processors in the much-anticipated device means that it is technologically more advanced that the latest Apple MacBook Pro laptops, as the latter run on the sixth generation of Intel processors, according to Forbes.
