"I Am Setsuna" has now been confirmed as a launch title for the Nintendo Switch. As of the time of writing this increases the number of launch games from five to 10. Other new additions include "Little Inferno," "World of Goo," "Human Resource Manager" and "Skylanders: Imaginators."
It will be available as a digital download game during the Nintendo Switch's launch on March 3, Polygon reported. No physical release has yet been confirmed. It should be noted that the PS4 version also does not have a physical version as of the time of writing.
"I Am Setsuna" was originally confirmed to release for the Switch during Nintendo's Switch Presentation event. No launch date was announced at the time and only five games were planned for the system's launch.
The version on the Nintendo Switch will come with new features. A new feature called "Temporal Battle Arena" will be included in the Switch version as an exclusive DLC, Eurogamer reported. This arena will allow players to upload and download data in order to fight other player parties.
Other new features are teased but not fully revealed. Square-Enix is expected to share more details regarding the Nintendo Switch port as its launch date draws near.
It originally released in July last year for the PS4, PS Vita and PC. It was developed by Tokyo RPG Factory, a company founded by Square-Enix to focus on revitalizing old-school JRPG games reminiscent of classics such as "Chrono Trigger" and "Final Fantasy VI."
"I Am Setsuna" focuses on a hero tasked with escorting a woman named Setsuna, who willingly goes on a journey to ritualistically sacrifice herself to save their village. Along the way, Setsuna discover more about the world outside their village and the origins of their rituals.
Both the Nintendo Switch and "I Am Setsuna" will launch on March 3. The original launch trailer for the PS4 and Steam version can be viewed below:
