Hyolyn, lead vocalist of K-pop girl group Sister, will be in the United States in March for series of performances in American clubs and south by Southwest (SXSW) festival.
Hyolyn's management agency Starship Entertainment has confirmed the news of her concert tour in the US in March, Yonhap News Agency reported. "Hyolyn will hold her first live vocal performances in New York and Los Angeles night clubs in mid-March in partnership with the U.S. Transparent Agency," Yonhap News Agency cited the press release by Starship Entertainment.
This will be her first live vocal performance in the US, according to KMusic. Hyolyn's performances in New York and Los Angeles is revealed to have an intimate setting, the K-pop news website reported. Tickets for her US concert tour will be on sale in a few weeks. Early Bird and Pre-Sale tickets are priced at $40, while VIP meet & greet tickers which includes a photo with the 26-year-old singer will also be available and will be limited in number.
Moreover, it was also revealed that Hyolyn will be participating in this year's SXSW Festival which is scheduled from March 10 to 19 in Austin, Texas. Her performance has been confirmed by the event organizers, a separate report by Yonhap News Agency revealed.
According to the article, Hyolyn was among the newly announced artist lineup which was posted on the event website, SXSW LLC. In the said post, she was described as the "Korean Beyonce" and mentioned about her career outside South Korea such as collaborations with Far East Movement, composer Giorgio Moroder and a performance at Ultra Singapore.
Hyolyn first gained recognition as the lead singer of sexy K-pop girl group Sistar. Her powerful vocals led her to jumpstart a solo career in 2013 with debut album called "Love & Hate," KMusic reported.
The singer has continually made waves four years since her solo debut. From chart-topping OSTs and collaborations with talented musicians such as Mad Clown and Eulphant's KeeBee, Hyolyn has created a name on her own.
She made a comeback October of last year with a solo album which featured music collaborations with DOK2 and Jay Park.
