After “Descendants of the Sun” ended in mid-April, fans of Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki have been pushing the two stars of the blockbuster series to get married. The push was triggered by reports that the two are in a secret relationship.
On Jan. 19, after Song Hye Kyo posted a photo of a young girl and herself on Instagram, fans once more urged her to marry Song Joong-ki – even if the two insist they are just friends – to have a daughter as cute as the unidentified young girl with her on the viral IG post. Now, fans are citing the wedding on the same day of Korean actors Rain and Kim Tae Hee in pressuring Song Hye Kyo to marry and have children.
Rain-Kim Couple
Rain and Kim Tae Hee were in a five-year relationship before they got married in a Catholic wedding ceremony and mass at the Gahoe-dong Cathedral in Jongno, Seoul, Dramafever reported. Fans of the SongSong couple would likely even see a parallel between the newlywed couple and the “Descendants of the Sun” stars because Kim Tae Hee, like Song Hye Kyo, is Catholic, while Rain was converted to Catholicism and baptized in 2014. Song Joong-ki is Christian.
Besides citing Rain’s wedding to Kim Tae Hee, fans of Song Hye Kyo also remind her that at 35, she just has about five years left on her biological clock to have a baby because becoming pregnant and giving birth after 40 is usually more difficult for both the first-time mother and newborn.
Not Getting Younger
Bethchaicstrobobis commented: “Yah, get married soon … time is running out!!!” Likewise, watiwidi218 warned: “Kyo, i wish u get merried soon. Please you break to your project, n alredy to merried, in your age 35. Dont waiting more. Because the women in old age ex age 40 is verry dificult have child.”
The fans’ concern, besides being genuine, are real. Science agrees that menopausal pregnancies and childbirth are risky for mother and child, although American singer Janet Jackson just did it and gave birth in early January at age 50.
