John Cena and Nikki Bella have been in a relationship since 2012 but Cena is not interested in getting married. However, the latest rumors have revealed that Cena might end up proposing to Nikki at WrestleMania 33 after her final match.
According to Cageside Seats, Cena and Nikki are expected to team up at WrestleMania 33 and face the real-life married couple of The Miz and Maryse. The report also noted that the Mixed Tag Team Match will also serve as the retirement match for Nikki.
The 33-year-old superstar is reportedly having issues with her surgically-repaired neck. She underwent surgery in late 2015 to repair a herniated disc in her neck. She missed ten months of action before returning at last year's SummerSlam.
Nikki has been limited in the ring since her surgery and the fact that she might retire at WrestleMania 33 means her neck is in bad shape. Several former WWE superstars retired early due to neck injuries like Stone Cold Steve Austin and Edge.
On the other hand, Cena is expected to lose the WWE championship on February 12 at Elimination Chamber. He will then turn his focus on Nikki and a possible storyline with The Miz and Maryse. The 39-year-old superstar is going to take another hiatus after WrestleMania 33 to film his new comedy movie.
As for their relationship, Cena and Nikki have been together for almost five years. Their relationship has been made public and it is even featured on the TV show "Total Bellas" along with Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella.
The longest-reigning Divas champion in WWE history is currently in a feud with Natalya wherein her relationship with Cena is in the spotlight. Natalya is pointing out the fact that Cena will never propose to Nikki.
According to Four3Four, Cena might end up proposing to Nikki after their rumored WrestleMania 33 match. It would be a great ending to her career and a good scene for "Total Bellas". It should be noted that Cena has made it clear in many interviews that he does not want to get married again.
The 16-time WWE champion was married to Elizabeth Huberdeau from 2009 to 2012. The divorce was apparently too much for Cena since it was a very messy breakup. Check out the video below to watch a clip from "Total Bellas" wherein Cena discussed marriage and children.
