It looks like there are still more to come with Square Enix's "Final Fantasy XV" as its game director Hajime Tabata hinted on bringing the franchise's latest installment to the PC platform. Aside from this, there will be quite a number of downloadable contents to watch out for in the coming months.
In a recent interview with Famitsu, as cited and translated by Gematsu, the game director tackled the game's post-release performance in the market and his future plans with the latest title. He stated that he has seen some pretty good figures on the game's digital sales in Japan, the United States and in Europe.
Tabata added that they have been getting positive feedbacks from gamers. However, there are still some suggesting that the game could have offered more in terms of its story, he said.
When asked about the game being ported to the PC, Tabata replied that he wanted to roll out the game on the platform as a "technical attempt" adding that he wants PC gamers to experience "FFXV" running on a high-end hardware. He also expressed his intentions to create PC-only contents for the said title such as mod creation and even letting players set up their own quests.
As early as March 2016, Tabata is already aware of such plea from fans prior to the game's release. Nevertheless, there are no workarounds being done during that time to make it possible, Gamespot reported.
The director also highlighted that "FFXV's" virtual reality content has been doing quite a progress as of late. However, he stated that such progress in the said content is not yet sufficient for them to disclose a definite release date.
Meanwhile, a new DLC will be dished out on Feb. 21 that will contain a free booster pack. Season pass holders, on the other hand, will have a booster pack plus which is likely to contain exclusive items.
The Episode Gladiolus expansion is slated for a March 28 release where players will take control of Gladio and see what he did after he left Noctis' crew. Also, the Marshal - Cor Leonis will also be featured in the said game segment as Gladio will be teaming up with this katana-wielding warrior.
Another interesting content to look forward to are the Magitek Exosuits that are pretty much like to that of the "Power Rangers." However, reports now suggest that it could be released at a later date as people over at Saban or even at Lionsgate called Square Enix's attention stating that the suits have some slight similarities from the ones worn by the super sentai collective.
