"Girl Meets World" star Sabrina Carpenter recently slammed a fan for lying about receiving a negative message from the actress via Twitter.
According to M-Magazine, the fan claimed that Carpenter sent her a DM that contained negativity via the social networking site. The alleged tweet was posted online several times until it caught Carpenter's attention.
The young actress immediately clarified to her millions of Twitter followers that she did not write the message. She also tagged the fan by saying that people like her are the reason why the Internet is not a safe place.
Immediately after Carpenter slammed the fan, the Twitter post was deleted and the account was suspended. Immediately after, Carpenter wrote a follow up tweet thanking fans for their understanding and support. She also called each and every one of them "family."
The actress also encouraged her fans to help her change the world through inspiring words, positivity, love and support.
Meanwhile, following the cancellation of "Girl Meets World" Season 5, Carpenter has moved back to producing music. Just recently, she released a new song called "Evolution."
In other news, there are some rumors suggesting that there is still hope for a Season 5 renewal for "Girl Meets World," but not on Disney Channel. TV Line recently reported that Netflix has denied picking up the sitcom. Showrunner Michael Jacobs is still waiting for feedback from Hulu.
But a lot of "Girl Meets World" fans believe that Freeform could be the show's new home. After all, Carpenter's Maya and Rowan Blanchard's Riley Matthews are already teenagers. Freeform is known for releasing shows centered on families and young characters.
"Girl Meets World" Season 4 aired its last episode last month.
