Ji Chang Wook, who gained widespread fame from 2014-2015's "Healer," is looking to star in one more project before he fulfills his two-year mandatory military service. The 29-year-old actor revealed this to the local media during "Fabricated City's" promotional press conference in early January.
Before Ji started shooting for the upcoming crime film "Fabricated City," many speculated that the actor will start his service to the country straight away. However, it seems that he still has some time left and may be able to do another work.
Speaking before a predominantly South Korean crowd, as cited by Soompi, Ji revealed he may do one more project if the timetable's right before his military enlistment. He said, "I'm thinking about doing one more since I haven't received a draft notice or an enlistment date yet. Time-wise, a drama will be more adequate than a film."
Still, going to the military is a must thing for him. In another interview with Korean newsoutlet Naver TV, the actor revealed his plan to undergo LASIK surgery to accelerate his ranking in the military. Due to his poor vision, he only got a third class for active duty in the recent physical exam.
For Ji, the mandatory military service would give him the required time to regulate his lifestyle. It will also allow him to recharge his energy levels considering that he has been working non-stop throughout the years.
Following his revelation, "The K2" actor has expressed his desire to take on various genres and roles in the near future. On the Jan. 28 episode of KBS 2TV's "Entertainment Weekly," Ji surprised everyone when he said he would be willing to cross-dress for a certain role.
