Defending champions Juventus FC (17-4-0, 51 points) will take on the challenge of streaking squad Inter Milan (13-6-3, 42 points) at the Juventus Stadium on Feb. 5, Sunday as the 2016-2017 Serie A season moves forward.

Juventus is on a two-game winning run after suffering their fourth loss of the season against Fiorentina last month. The team has won five of their last six outings to remain on top of the Italian top flight table, only four points ahead of second-running team Roma.

Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuaín broke the game's deadlock early in the ninth minute of the match with a right-footed shot from the center of the box off a cross by Brazilian defender Alex Sandro.
German midfielder Sami Khedira then doubled the lead in the 25th minute with his own right-footer, this time with Higuaín providing the assist.
Both teams went scoreless after that as Juve came away with the two-goal victory.
Meanwhile, Inter Milan continued their ascent in the overall standings after a lopsided 3-0 win over cellar-dwellers Pescara at their home ground of Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in San Siro last Saturday, Daily Mail Online reported.
Italian defender Danilo D'Ambrosio opened the scoring for head coach Stefano Pioli's side in the 23rd minute before Portuguese midfielder Joao Mario made it a 2-0 count two minutes before the halftime break.
Italian striker Eder then sealed the game in the 73rd minute with a close-range goal from a pass by team captain Mauro Icardi following a fast break attack.
The win was the seventh straight for I Nerazzurri as the team has climbed to the fourth spot of the league table. They now hold a Europa League qualifying spot for next season and are only three points behind Napoli for the final Champions League berth next term.
