"The Flash" Season 3 may see Iris West (Candice Patton) dead even before the expected four months. But it seems that the character's demise will not be because of Savitar.
In a photo released by The CW exclusively to TV Line, Iris is seen lying down in one of the beds at S.T.A.R. Labs. She is unconscious, and she does not look like she will survive. Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Caitin (Danielle Panabaker) have a concerned look on their faces as they talk about a cure for Iris.
Clive Yorkin (Matthew Kevin Anderson) had his sights set of Joe (Jesse L. Martin), but it is his daughter, Iris, who will be caught in the crossfire. The criminal metahuman kills people by causing them to decompose at an accelerated rate, and this is exactly what he did to Iris.
Barry, Caitlin and the rest of Team Flash are caught unaware of what they should do to help Iris. After all, they have been looking for a way to change the future so Savitar could not kill Iris by stabbing her on the chest. What the team did not realize is that if they can alter the future by changing Iris' fate, the same thing can happen to Iris in a negative manner.
Meanwhile, Barry will also rely on Wally aka Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale) to beat Savitar and make sure that he will not be responsible for killing Iris in the future. That is, if Iris gets to survive from Clive Yorkin's lair on next week's episode.
Barry will encourage Wally to improve his skills as a new metahuman and to make sure that he is faster than the former and Savitar himself. Wally will gladly do as he is told because it has been his mission to help others, especially his family.
"The Flash" Season 3 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
