The "Power Rangers" movie has caused a significant delay to the much-awaited update for "Final Fantasy XV." The release of the game's Magitek Exosuit DLC has been moved further due to similarities found in the movie.
"Final Fantasy XV" director Hajime Tabata, together with marketing manager Akio Ofuji have announced that changes are to be made with the Magitek Exosuits. Such changes are prompted by the similarities of game's exosuits to the suits being used in the "Power Rangers" movie. The necessary modification then affirms the delay of the DLC, which most players have been dying to witness.
The said incident has not been anticipated by the game developer and staff. It was the people behind "Power Rangers" who made the initial move to inform Tabata and his team about the resemblance of their suit to that of the "Final Fantasy," according to Anime News Network.
With the information of the similarities and the comments of various media outlets, the "Final Fantasy XV" DLC opted to reschedule its release. Such rescheduling would then give way to an unrivaled attention to be given to the new "Power Rangers" film come March 24 this year for United States fans and July 15 for Japanese enthusiasts.
As an overview, the exosuits being used in the "Final Fantasy" games has its roots from the Japanese ranger version, the "Super Sentai." The Magitek armors were first introduced in "Final Fantasy VI" as mentioned by Forbes, and since then constant upgrades and visual improvements are being made for each update.
The said Power Ranger-like suits were supposed to be released this coming February 21, 2017. However, there is still no news about the next release date schedule of the "Final Fantasy XV" Magitek Exosuits. What has been confirmed so far are the modifications to make the suits less similar to that of the upcoming Rangers' movie, while keeping its intended function and identity unimpaired.
