After the controversial Deflategate, Tom Brady is back at Super Bowl 51 with the victory of the New England Patriots win over the Atlanta Falcons, 34-28. Recently, UFC president Dana White was asked who the version of the NFL star in UFC was.
"If you break into the top five, or become a world champion, it's very tough to do so you're a stud," White told TMZ. "If I had to pick one guy, it would have to be Anderson Silva."
White explained that Silva is Brady's UFC counterpart because of what Silva has accomplished, how long he has been in the game and how he has carried himself. When asked if he thought Silva was as handsome as Brady, White simply said that he has a man crush on the husband of Brazilian supermodel Giselle Bundchen.
Brady and White are not only business partners. The two are also very close friends so the UFC president expectedly rejoiced when Brady had a successful NFL comeback.
It appears though that Brady and controversy are twins. Following the New England Patriots' Super Bowl 51 win, his missing No. 12 Super Bowl LI jersey officially became a law enforcement matter on Feb. 6, Monday.
Among the potential suspects in the search for Brady's jersey are his family members, coaches, teammates, team/league staffers, law enforcement officials, news media members and gate crashers. In an email to USA Today, NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy said they have been "looking into this disappointing matter and will continue to assist law enforcement authorities."
Shortly after Brady's comeback, Silva will also return at UFC 208. The former Middleweight champion will fight Derek Brunson.
UFC 208 will be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, on Feb. 11, Saturday. The mixed martial arts event will be headlined by fighters Holly Holm and Germaine de Randamie, who will fight for the inaugural Women's Featherweight title.
