Players are reportedly facing issues on connecting to the Grand Theft Auto Online servers immediately after the release of the much anticipated "GTA Online Heists" DLC.


Game developer Rockstar told IGN in an official statement, "We are aware of some issues today with players having problems connecting to GTA Online, as well as issues with the Xbox Live service. We are working to restore full access to GTA Online as quickly as possible."

The report added that Rockstar also gave its players access to all performance of all gaming platforms through the developer's office "GTA Online" status page. The connectivity issue means was described that all gaming consoles Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 were reported to have "limited" access while the Rockstar Social Club is "up."

Aside from connectivity issues, user of Xbox Live reported issues regarding joining games as well as the download of purchased content online. Xbox Live users also reported difficulty in signing on their profiles. The problem was only limited to the Xbox 360 platform and Xbox Support reported that it has been resolved and that core services were 100 percent running. However, purchasing and downloading new contents is still limited, according to The Epoch Times.

Rockstar has already put out an apology statement regarding the issue and added that the team has been working around the clock in order to resolve the issue. The problem occurred after Rockstar servers received massive amounts of traffic after releasing the "GTA Online Heists" DLC.

The "GTA Online Heists" is free for all "GTA V" users to download.
