"Attack on Titan" Season 2 air date has been highly awaited by fans. However, the wait will soon be over as Funimation recently confirmed the anime's premiere date.
The wait is over, for "AoT" Season 2 will be streamed by Funimation starting April 1 this year, according to Anime News Network. The anime series will premiere in Japan under 21 networks, which would include Tokyo MX and MBS.
The confirmation of the upcoming release date of "Attack on Titan" sequel has complemented the recently released anime trailer. In retrospect, the Season 2 trailer of "AoT" introduced a new breed of Titans that included the previously speculated "Beast Titan."
Apart from the introduction of new Titans, the trailer has partly shown the breaching of the second wall. Thus, suggesting a brand new storyline apart from the previous outline of the anime's Season 1.
In a synopsis shared by Funimation, it was revealed that Eren Jaeger has acquired or developed new power. Although there is still no further details on what power it may be, it was highlighted that such power would be used by Eren wipe out every last Titan in the post-apocalyptic world.
Moreover, the brief summary likewise exposed a growing threat outside the Wall Rose. After the defeat of the female Titan, a horde of Titans is fast approaching the sanctuary to create more chaos and begin the extinction of humanity.
As an overview for those who missed Season 1 of the "AoT." The story revolves around a violent post-apocalyptic world and Eren Jaeger. Eren, together with his comrades, attempts to eradicate the man-eating giants known as Titans.
The story started from the breaching of the first wall, wherein people were forced to move to a much safer and fortified place. Such remaining sanctuary for humans are the ones being protected by military force including, Eren and his friends Armin and Mikasa.
