As of March 8 on Billboard Hot 100, 210,000 people in the United States have downloaded "Uptown Funk." The track cinches to number one spot on sales charts. Top-notch radio play and high streaming contribute to Mars and Ronson musical status quo.
In history, there are 29 songs in line with "Uptown Funk" that topped the charts for 10 weeks.
With Ronson and Mars holding the number one spot, ranking number two for eight weeks is "Thinking Out Loud" by Ed Sheeran, who recently serenaded his fans in the Philippines on March 12, Thursday, at a sold-out concert, Rappler reported.
The two songs have been dominating the Billboard chart for two months now. The other top five just hit Hot 100 in two weeks.
"Sugar" by Maroon 5 stays number three on the chart. It pushes second on Digital Songs and bumps fourth on both Streaming Songs and Radio Songs.
"Love Me Like You Do" by Ellie Goulding ranks number four on Hot 100 after it previously made third two weeks ago. The "Fifty Shades Of Grey" soundtrack single is third on Streaming Songs and fourth on Digital Songs.
"FourFiveSeconds" by Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney stands number five after rising as high as number four in two weeks.
Rounding up Hot 100's top 10, Taylor Swift hits Billboard's top twice with "Style" in number six and "Blank Space" in number 10. The Weeknd's contribution to "Fifty Shades Of Grey," the song "Earned It," ranks number seven. "Take Me To Church" by Hozier drops to number eight after leading Billboard's Hot Rock Songs in 21 weeks. "Time of Our Lives" by Pitbull and Ne-Yo makes it to number nine.
