The synopsis for "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 episode 13 revealed that Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) and Alaric Saltzman (Matt Davis) will encounter an old foe after they got the weapon that could kill Cade (Wolé Parks). Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) would be under the influence of an acquaintance as he would be obliged to face his dark past.
Kai, who put Elena to sleep for a long time and killed Alaric's wife, would try to convince the Salvatore brothers that he could help them kill Cade. Kai is doing this because he wants to get out of hell. The Salvatore brothers would not trust Kai swiftly, so the latter promised Damon that he could bring Elena back, according to The Siver Times.
"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 episode 13 will see the aftermath of Enzo's death (Michael Malarkey) as Stefan would try to make up with Bonnie Bennett (Kat Graham), who has been brokenhearted with her loved one's passing. Now that Stefan has become human, things would not be easy for him. He begins to feel guilty, and this feeling would continue to haunt him, according to Fan Sided.
After Kai's return in the Mystic Falls, there is a high possibility that Elena would be next. Kai's wish to free himself from hell could only be fulfilled if he is going to bring back Damon's love. After all, it was Kai, who put her to sleep that and no one can undo it except him.
As Cade targets Bonnie (Kat Graham), he would try to manipulate her mind. "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 episode 13 will also see Caroline (Candice King) and Matt (Zach Roerig) teaming up to protect Stefan from his destructive past.
