"Suits" introduced Harvey and Donna as two of the characters who have the most potential to end up together. However, six seasons have passed and they still have not sealed the deal.
In an interview with USA Network, "Suits" creator Aaron Korsh admitted that he did not envision that the two characters could have strong chemistry. Korsh added that the same could not be said about Mike (Patrick J. Adams) and Rachel (Meghan Markle) since they have pegged the two as potential lovers in the series.
Fans have also been very supportive of Mike and Rachel's relationship, as they have strongly reacted to their feuds. However, Korsh thinks that fans will not be happy to see Harvey and Donna at odds with each other. But even if this is the case, the series creator still has not made up his mind on whether or not the two should or should not be together.
Talking about the pros and cons of the couple's union, Korsh said that a lot of fans want to see them in a relationship. But there are also some viewers who are unsupportive of this storyline. He added that he has been receiving tweets from viewers who are grateful that Harvey and Donna are not romantically linked.
Meanwhile, Gabriel Macht, who plays the role of Harvey, told the New York Post last year that even he does not want his character to end up with Donna. "If the idea is that people want to see these two together because they see them as being great partners, that's great... but, to be frank, when Ross and Rachel got together on 'Friends,' I was not as interested. If anything, I would like to see them get together at the very end," he said.
Sarah Rafferty, who plays the role of Donna, thinks that Donna and Harvey ending up together could make up for a good storyline. However, the actress believes that no matter how interesting the pairing may be, Donna and Harvey will never end up in the TV series.
"Suits" Season 6, episode 14 will air on USA Network on Feb. 15 at 10 p.m. EST.
