New updates for "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will feature several possible characters in the roster and the sequel's possible release date.
It seems that theories on when will "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" as the latest chapter in the "Marvel vs Capcom" franchise will be out this year. The first trailer of the game only hinted a 2017 launch for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms. However, it is hinted that the sequel could be out in the later part of 2017, either in third or fourth quarter.
Unless, Capcom has actually been developing the title for a huge amount of time and thus has nearly all of the work done on it, there is still a great deal of work to do for "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" before the game can be released in all gaming platforms, Segment Next reported.
Meanwhile, several gaming fans have suggested which of characters from both Marvel and Capcom should be added in "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite".
Many fans want to see the Fantastic Four in the roster, as well as Guardians of the Galaxy members Star-Lord and Groot in the sequel. There is also concern over the X-Men being part of "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" as they felt that Fox owns the rights to the X-Men, but the superhero team has been featured in previous titles so seeing the likes of Wolverine, Cyclops, Magneto etc. will not be a problem.
Lastly, fans want to see Venom in the sequel or possibly Flash Thompson's version of the character, who goes by the name Agent Venom.
As for the Capcom side, fans are eager to see characters from "Resident Evil 7", with Jack Baker being the possible favorite, while others want to see Leon S. Kennedy in "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite".
There is also Asura from "Asura's Wrath" being teased in the roster and many fans want to see Phoenix Wright return to the sequel, DigitalTrends reported.
Previous reports teased that Mega Man X and Captain Marvel will have an important role in the storyline of "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" as Capcom representative Michael Evans teased the plot will be the pillar of the game.
On the other hand, Marvel Game's representative Mike Jones added that the "core" foundation that Marvel made from TV series, movies, games etc. is the storytelling and so with the new emphasis on the cinematic story mode and the story of how these two universes collide, and how the characters meet. it drove a lot of the creative decisions for what characters to use in the game.
"Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will launch sometime in 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
