The 18th episode of KBS 2TV's "Hwarang" shocked fans when Seok Dan-Se (Kim Hyun-Jun) unintentionally killed off his younger half-brother Seok Han-Sung (BTS' V). Now, the BTS member, whose real name is Kim Tae-Hyung, shared his thoughts about having to say goodbye to both the character and the show.
"'Hwarang: The Beginning' is a work that has made me realize many things and given me many beautiful and unforgettable memories," V said through a press statement released by Big Hit Entertainment, as cited by Soompi. "I was happy to be able to smile and cry together with Hansung in the drama, and to live as Hansung."
The idol-turned-actor hopes that his sincere effort in portraying Seok Han-Sung was felt by the viewers as much as he did. He then expressed his deep gratitude to his co-stars Park Seo-Joon, Park Hyung-Sik, Do Ji-Han, Choi Minho, Jo Yoon-Woo, Sung Dong-Il and Kim Hyun-Joon for helping him wrap up the innocent and charming character.
BTS' V has also expressed his elation over the overwhelming response of the public to the 20-episode historical drama. He added, "I hope Hansung and 'Hwarang' would remain in your hearts and please continue your support for this drama until the end."
Though V is glad he met the entire cast and staff of the KBS historical drama, the Kpop idol is now ready to take a step forward. Currently, BTS is busy preparing for their "2017 BTS Live Trilogy Episode III The Wings Tour" at the Gocheok SkyDome in Seoul, South Korea on Feb. 18 and Feb. 19.
The seven-member boy band is expected to spice up the upcoming concert by performing several tracks from their new album "Wings: You Never Walk Alone," which includes "A Supplementary Story: You Never Walk Alone," "Spring Day" and "Not Today," All Kpop reported.
