Eye-fi has now introduced their new revoluntionary Wi-Fi SD card, which is known as the Eyefi Mobi Pro. Eyefi boasts its new card as one of 'the most powerful Wi-Fi SD card ever' with a storage ability of 32GB, as per reports by TechTimes.
The highlighted feature of Mobi Pro is the choices it gives to photographers. It enables users to select the pictures they want to transfer. The transfer maybe done in the JPEG format or even in Raw format enabling adjustments, as reported by GizMag.
The previous Mobi card did not have such options. It did not give the user any choice and transferred all images. In mobiles, Mobi Pro would hijack the Wi-Fi connections for some time to transfer the images and release it thereafter. Such inconvenience would not be felt at home where the local network can be used instead.
The Mobi Pro has however shown some drawbacks. CNET reviews revealed that the speed of the card is very slow at 23MB/second to read and 13MB to write. Transferring large files of high resolution doesn't sound too practical with this figure. There is also the cost factor that stands in the way. At just a 32GB capacity, the price of $99.99 seems rather costly.
But Eyefi has enough incentives for its customers. The lure of immediate file transfers will make it a tempting offer for many photographers. In addition, Eyefi Mobi Pro purchasers will also get a free one-year subscription to the Eyefi Cloud which itself have been updated with new features. Eyefi Cloud can categorize images intelligently according to various criteria. It also enables image comparison in terms of visual details. Wasting no time, the Eyefi Mobi Pro has already been made available on Eyefi's online store.
