"One Punch Man" Season 2 release date confirmation remains highly sought by loyal anime fans. However, the currently reported mid-2017 release date of the anime remains to be a speculation, for the people behind the hit anime series is yet to confirm the report.
As of the current writing, there is still no confirmed release date for "OPM" Season 2. However, speculations abound regarding the potential July release of the anime. Such projected release has been patterned with the previous English-dubbed anime release back in July 2016, Anime News Network has learned.
Along with the rumored mid-year release is the speculated double trouble hitting Saitama in the upcoming new "One Punch Man" episodes. As most rumors would suggest, Saitama will be facing Amai Mask as the first villain in the upcoming Season2. Aside from Amai Mask, the white-caped superhero will also be dealing with another member of the Hero Association, Metal Knight.
Moreover, based on a separate report, "OPM" fans may expect a new look of Saitama come Season 2 of the Japanese anime. It has been reported that Saitama may change his costume ditching the old yellow one for something cooler.
Rumors aside, the impending release of "OPM" is somehow foreshadowed by the scheduled home video release of the first season. Viz Media has scheduled the release of the first season of Saitama's adventure this coming April 25, according to Crunchyroll. The home release will not only include the season 1 of the anime, but it will also include some OVA bonus episodes.
