A love story between a 140,000 year-old fox princess and a 50,000-year-old dragon prince premiered on Chinese TV during the Spring Festival. The TV series is an adaptation of a popular online novel with the same title.
Fan demand for the online novel, published by Shenyang Press in 2009, led to the production of “Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms” into a TV series. The drama is set is a fantasy world which features gods, monsters and humans who co-exist, Xinhua News Agency reports.
Best-Selling Novel
The book sold 1.1 million copies which showed potential market earnings of online novels by making it into a movie or TV series. According to Novel Updates, the story revolves around a woman, who 300 years ago, stood on the Immortal Killing Terrace and turned around and jumped off. Her death was caused by a man who stood by the bronze mirror and witnesses her death. After 300 years, the two meet unexpectedly at the East Sea Dragon Palace.
They now are in another lifetime wherein she faces the person who betrayed her. She has become indifferent to the wind, but she does not know why the man uses his cold hands to repeatedly stroke her eyes.
Cast Members
Drama Fever reported that “Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms,” or also known as “Eternal Love,” stars Yang Mi as Bai Qian and Mark Zhao as Ye Hua and Ken Chang as Zhe Yan. The TV series is a fantasy romance which proves death could not stop love.
The new cast members are. Gong Yoo and Lee Dong Woo from “Goblin,” Lee Sun Gyun from “My Wife’s Having an Affair” and Song Ji Hyo from “Running Man.” Yu Cui Hua and Ren Hai Tao direct the 58-episode drama which debuted on Jan. 30, 2017 on Jiangsu TV and Dragon TV.
