Eibar has been playing inconsistently as of late with three wins and two losses in their last five matches. The team is still in the seventh spot of the Spanish top flight table, though, despite their recent struggles.

Los Armeros was blanked by title contenders Sevilla FC, 0-2, on the road at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuán Stadium during their most recent La Liga fixture last Saturday, via Daily Mail Online.

Head coach José Luis Mendilibar's squad was not able to respond even with a single goal against the much superior Sevilla XI, who got one goal each from Spanish midfielders Pablo Sarabia and Vitolo in the 30th and 90th+1 minutes respectively.

The loss snapped Eibar's three-game winning streak as the team is now four points behind sixth-running squad Villarreal for the second and final Europa League qualifying spot for the next season.

Meanwhile, Malaga is on a two-game unbeaten run after pulling off an impressive 2-1 victory of middling side Las Palmas at their home ground of La Rosaleda Stadium on Monday, USA Today reported.

Las Palmas opened the scoring in the 19th minute with a right-footed shot from a free kick by Uruguayan defender Mauricio Lemos.

Los Boquerones was then able to equalize eight minutes later with a goal by Spanish midfielder Pablo Fornals. Brazilian striker Charles gave head coach Marcelo Romero's side the lead in the 35th minute with his own close-range right-footer off an assist by Keko.

Malaga midfielder Jose Rodriguez was sent off in the 70th minute but the hosts were able to hold Los Amarillos scoreless in the last 20 minutes to preserve the victory.
