ColorWare is well known for customizing and painting Apple products, which is currently offering additional color options for AirPods. It reveals that it is now accepting orders and offering its customers 58 color variants.
ColorWare announced on Twitter that it would paint a new pair of AirPods in any color the customer prefer and ship them in 10 to 12 weeks. It offers a $130 premium cost over the $159 price of the AirPods. ColorWare will coat them in one of the 58 different shades, which gives a variety of solid to metallic colors, as per 9to5 Mac.
The company can also customize both the left and right earbud with different colors. It will let its customers choose what type of finish they prefer to apply to their AirPods, either glossy or matte. The company is developing a process for the AirPods, which is "FAR from easy." ColorWare carefully customizes and paints each component.
ColorWare also offers to design the case of the AirPods at an additional cost, which total price for a fully customized set of AirPods plus case is $319.
According to PC Magazine, the company offers a set of AirPods that are totally unique. It might double the price of a plain white set of AirPods purchased from Apple, but it will give customers great satisfaction.
ColorWare mostly allows its customers to send to their own devices to be painted, but this idea is not currently an option with the AirPods. The customer will have to wait for approximately six weeks for their order to arrive.
If the customer does not like it, ColorWare guaranteed for 12 months, and 24 months with the purchase of an additional warranty. Returns are available for the first 30 days, however, the customer is subjected to pay 25 percent restocking fee.
