Fans will experience a world of horror once again with the release of the second film of "Sinister" to the big screen in August this year.
After the release of "Sinister" last October 12, 2012, the movie got an estimated domestic gross of $48 million and an estimated foreign gross of $30 million, reaching an estimated total gross of $78 million.
The film plot follows a young mother and her two sons as they move into a new house that is distinct for death, as per Comingsoon.
The cast members include Jaden Klein as Ted, Lucas Jade Zumann as Milo, Laila Haley as Emma, James Ransone as deputy, Shannyn Sossamon as Courtney, Nicholas King as Bughuul, Olivia Rainey as Catherine, Caden Fritz as Peter, and Lea coco as Clint.
"Sinister 2" is spearheaded by Ciaran Foy, with Jason Blum, Jeannetter Brill, Rian Cahill, Kaylene Carlson, Bailey Conway, Phillip Dawe, Scott Derrickson, Gerard DiNardi, and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones. C.Robert Cargill and Scott Derrickson are the film writers. Filming began last Ausgust 19, 2014 in Chicago.
The film is produced by eOne Entertainment, Automatik Entertainment, and Blumhouse Productions. It will be distributed by Focus Features.
As per Cinema Blend, James Blum, Executive Producer and Founder of Blumhouse Productions reveals his interest on sharing his horror films into a one world just like the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
"Be like Marvel, you mean? Yeah! I want to do that. We've been putting Easter Eggs in movies in different things. There's some in "Insidious 3". There's some in "Sinister 2". So yeah, we've been doing that. I would like to do more of that," Blum said.
Possible candidate films in his concept are "Insidious" and "Sinister", which are two of the successful horror movies he has produced.
Be horrified once again in "Sinister 2", which is slated to premiere in theaters and cinemas in the United States on August 21, 2015 while "Insidious: Chapter 3" is on June 05, 2015.
