Leicester City has been struggling in their title defense this season, being winless in six of their last seven outings including a five-game losing slide.
With 12 games left in their current campaign, it is certain that they will not repeat as Premier League champions. The team is actually in a battle to avoid relegation at the moment as they are now in the 15th spot in the overall standings, only two points above the bottom three relegation zone.
Leicester snapped their five-game losing streak with a stunning 3-1 victory over contending side Liverpool FC also at the King Power Stadium on Monday, as per the Telegraph.
Jamie Vardy was the man of the match for joint caretakers Craig Shakespeare and Mike Stowell as he scored a brace in the 28th and 60th minutes to lead the Foxes in their three-goal haul. English midfielder Danny Drinkwater netted the other goal for Leicester in the 39th minute while Liverpool winger Philippe Coutinho scored a consolation goal for the Reds in the 68th.
Meanwhile, Hull City was held to a 1-1 draw by fellow newly-promoted squad Burnley at their own home ground of KCOM Stadium last Saturday, Sports Mole reported.
After a goalless first half of action, Hull City midfielder Tom Huddlestone finally broke the deadlock in the 72nd minute with a successful penalty kick. Burnley defender Michael Keane then leveled the match three minutes later with a close-range shot off a pass by Robbie Brady following a corner kick.
It was the fourth winless effort by the Tigers in their last five games as the team remained in the relegation area.
