"Attack on Titan: Escape from Certain Death" was originally scheduled to be released on March 30. However, the game's release date in Japan will now be moved to May 11.
The adventure game being developed by Ruby Party still needs more time to have its quality improved. This is the very reason why its release date was delayed, according to Crunchy Roll.
In the visual novel-style game based on the Japanese manga series "Attack on Titan," players play the role of a Survey Corps member stuck in an old castle. The original protagonist is stripped of all equipment and will run into characters from the series as they try to escape.
Players may speak with their partners in places where there are no signs of Titans, which are considered safe. Despair will arise when players make the wrong choices or when they encounter a critical situation.
To keep the ability to make normal decisions, the level of Despair should not rise. When the level of Despair reaches 100 percent, the amount of time the protagonist and the partner have to make a choice becomes limited, according to Gematsu.
In order to escape from such serious situations, the player must be able to make the right choice. When threatened by an approaching titan, Mikasa will appear to accurately slice the nape of the titan through the blades in her hands.
Those who are at the point of death can be rescued by Hanji and her strategies. For those who are exhausted and soaked in blood and drool after fighting titans, Levi can be of great help.
There will be a special edition of the upcoming game. Aside from the copy of the game, the special edition will include a waterproof poster, soundtrack, visual book, large tin badge and Mikasa and Levi 3DS theme with voices downloaded code.
