Viewers will meet state and military attorney Rita Devereaux in "NCIS: New Orleans" Season 3 episode 16 titled "The Last Stand." The character will be played by Chelsea Field, who starred in "Wicked" with Julia Stiles, Louise Myrback and William R. Moses in 1998.
Rita is a longtime friend of Dwayne Pride (Scott Bakula). In "The Last Stand," she will ask NCIS to investigate the disappearance of a JAG lawyer. The lawyer, who specializes in classified cases, is a volunteer at a private military academy.
Aside from Bakula, the main cast of "NCIS: New Orleans" Season has seven other members. They are Lucas Black as Christopher LaSalle, Vanessa Ferlito as Tammy Gregorio, Rob Kerkovich as Sebastian Lund, Daryl "Chill" Mitchell as Patton Plame, Shalita Grant as Sonja Percy and C. C. H. Pounder as Loretta Wade.
Steven Weber, Derek Webster, Tom Arnold, Julian Acosta, Sean Murray and Wilmer Valderrama play recurring roles in "NCIS: New Orleans" Season 3. They play Mayor Douglas Hamilton, FBI Executive Assistant Director Raymond Isler, Elvis Bertrand, Javier Garcia, NCIS Special Agent Timothy McGee and NCIS Special Agent Nicholas "Nick" Torres, respectively.
Before appearing in "NCIS: New Orleans," Field starred in several TV series including "Secrets and Lies," "Memphis Beat," "Without a Trace," "Cold Case" and "Legacy." She also played Jocelyn Wayne "NCIS" Season 3 episode 15 titled "Head Case," which aired on Feb. 7, 2006.
In real life, Bakula and Field got married in 1996 and have two sons together. They co-starred with Sheila Kelley in the 1994 drama thriller film "A Passion to Kill," which was written by Williams Delligan and directed by Rick King.
