It is time for convergence for the most awaited app of the year "Cortana" with some of the biggest sellers in the OS domain.
According to Techtree, Microsoft's standalone app all set to hit the market next fall would be seen in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. It is unlikely that the move will take place without any glitches since Microsoft has developed the app as a response to Apple's Siri and Google Now on Android. It has also remarked that in this electronic era more and more manufacturers are continuously striving for advancement in the devices to be released in future.
Furthermore, Team Einstein at Microsoft responsible for development of Cortana reportedly claim that the standalone app is far more superior than the existing virtual assistants. Astro Awani said that while Siri has been programmed to obey instructions for finding a destination or maybe setting up a reminder, Cortana would be able to anticipate the user's behavior and automate more tasks owing to its artificial-intelligent design.
The move comes as the perfect opportunity for the Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella to increase the consumer base for the software giant in the smart phone market. Furthermore, the availability of Cortana on other platforms would help the consumers "test the waters" before actually stepping in completely.
In this era of smart phones and PDAs, the success of Cortana cannot be predicted in real terms till the product is out for real. For now, it can only be hoped that the features of Cortana is able to woo its users.
