"Another Oh Hae Young" stars Kim Ji Seok and Ye Ji Won won the Best Couple award at the 2017 Korea Cable TV Awards. The latter also won the Scene Stealer award.
tvN is set to release its first sci-fi drama series. Kim Kang Woo and Yeo Jin Goo will star in the new drama series titled "Circle," which is set both in present-day Korea and in 2037, Korea Herald reported.
Aside from "Another Oh Hae Young," tvN series "Problematic Men," "The Good Wife" and "Goblin" and also won awards at the 2017 Korea Cable TV Awards. The ceremony was held at the COEX auditorium in Seoul, South Korea on March 10, Friday, Soompi reported.
Aside from his award with Ye for "Another Oh Hae Young," Ji Seok also won the Popularity Award as a cast member of "Problematic Men." His fellow cast members in the TV program are Jun Hyun Moo, Ha Seok Jin, Lee Jang Won, Park Kyung and Tyler Rasch.
In "Another Oh Hae Young," Ji Seok and Ye's co-stars were Eric Mun, Seo Hyun Jin and Jeon Hye Bin. Written by Park Hae Young and Wi So Young and directed by Song Hyun Wook and Lee Jong Jae, the series aired on tvN from May 2, 2016 to June 28, 2016.
People behind "Goblin" rejoiced as the TV series, which aired on tvN from Dec. 2, 2016 to Jan. 21, won the Daesang or Drama Grand Prize and the same category in the Cable VOD (Video on Demand) Grand Prize Awards.
"Goblin" won two more awards in the Cable Star Awards. K-Pop boy band BtoB member Yook Sung Jae, who is professionally known as Sunghae, won the Rising Star, Acting award while Amy Lee, who is professionally known as Ailee, received an award for singing "I Will Go to You Like the First Snow" as OST of the series.
Jeon Do Yeon and Yoon Kye Sang's "The Good Wife" co-star Yoo Ji Tae won Best Actor for his portrayal of a prosecutor named Lee Tae Joon. The series is the South Korean remake of the CBS series of the same name.
