Korean actress Clara bared her body again for the Chinese movie “Some Like It Hot” where she played a model from Korea who captivates Chinese viewers with her sexy charm. The producer of the film is possibly a Marilyn Monroe fan since the title was taken from a 1959 movie of the Hollywood sex goddess wherein she played Sugar Kane Kowalczyk.
Channeling Marilyn Monroe
The Marilyn Monroe connection does not end with the title because the viral scene in "Some Like It Hot" showing Clara swiftly turning around in a red dress which is blown by the wind to reveal her black underwear has been done also by Marilyn Monroe. AllKPop reported it was not the first time that she went sexy.
Clara had similar sexy poses for GQ Taiwan, China’s Men’s Health Magazine and International bnt. Since she has done several movies and dramas in China, Clara admitted that it was a lonely period for her because of the language barrier even if the Chinese producers treated her very well.
Struggles in China
However, at the same time, she is thankful for being able to focus on acting while in China because she did not have to worry about her surroundings. She also shared about struggling during a drama shoot in China because of the water which did not suit her skin, causing the actress to develop whiteheads which upset her.
As a celebrity, Clara is conscious she needs to take good care of her body well which she does by going to the gym during her days off. “When I want to eat instant foods, I control myself by imagining bad oils coming inside my body,” she said.
In May 2016, the gowns, jewelry and other memorabilia of Marilyn Monroe, whom Clara channeled in “Some Like It Hot,” were showcased at the Legacy of a Legend Exhibition at the Design Centre in Chelsea Harbour, London, Daily Mail reported.
