It was way back in 2007 when the third installment of the action comedy movie series, "Rush Hour," was released on the big screen. Now that 10 years has passed, recent reports claim that "Rush Hour 4" may still happen.
It can be recalled that it was in 1998 when the first installment of "Rush Hour," wherein Brett Ratner directed and starred by Jackie Chan as Chief Inspector Lee with Chris Tucker as Detective James Carter, entertained moviegoers. The first movie of the franchise generated a box office hit of $244.4 million from a budget of $33 million. The success of the first film yielded two other box office sequels. Since the last installment was seen, reports say that fans have been anticipating to see the fourth addition to the series.
According to Entertainment Weekly, "Rush Hour" 4 could still happen as hinted by Ratner. During the interview, Ratner stated that he thinks the sequel of the 2007 hit film still has a chance. The director noted that they are now talking to the writers of the long-anticipated movie. Ratner also teased the fans about the possible title of the fourth installment, which he said might be "Grumpy Old Rush Hour," given that Chan is already 62-years-old and Tucker is now 45-years-old.
On the other note, it was just a month ago when Chan and Tucker reunited at the Vanity Fair party after the Oscar awards, Daily Mail UK reported. The publication also cited the report relating to the possible "Rush Hour 4." It was said that Chan and Tucker were reportedly working on the sequel; however, the source did not clarify whether the claim about the development of the movie is legitimate or not.
