Ella Travolta said her father is a "hero" for Father-Daughter Day on October 10. Ella, who is now 21, called her father both "hero" and "best friend" in a post on Instagram.
In her post, she said happy father's day to his hero and best friend and also saying that she loves her daddy so much. In a recent and related post, John also shared an image of his own in his Instagram account for that holiday.
Together with Ella, John also is a dad to Benjamin from his late wife, Kelly Preston, who died recently in July 2020 after a two-year battle with breast cancer. The first death in their family, however, was from their eldest son Jett who died due to a seizure because of autism in 2009 when he was still 16 years of age.
The tributes just came after John opened up in regards to his wife's passing in a real conversation with Kevin Hart in his series called Hart to Heart back in August.
The Pulp Fiction actor recalls his talk with son Benjamin about how life eventually has an ending. His son told him that since his mom died, he's afraid that his father is going next.
He then quickly replied that it was an entirely different thing as he continued explaining the differences between his longevity and her limited one. John told Kevin that death is always a part of life.
John goes on to say to his son that nobody doesn't truly know when their time is coming or how long they have. He said that his brother left us when he was 16 and his mother at 57.
He continues by saying that who's to say who dies immediately or later down the road, but all we can do is do our best to try living to the fullest the longest we can.
