USB-C is expected to take the tech world by storm along with Apple's upcoming MacBook 2015.
The new and improved USB version boasts USB 3 data speeds, reliable charging and even video output. USB-C connectors are even reversible, allowing the user to just plug it in without checking if the position is correct.
The USB-C connection can transfer data with a speed of up to 10 gigabits per second, which can let a user copy and paste a high-definition video file in just under five seconds, according to Fresnobee.
In addition, the new MacBook 2015 will support USB-C port. The previous traditional ports have been replaced by the new all-in-one port.
USB-C will take care of the new MacBook's charging and data transferring needs. It can carry up to 100 watts of power to charge the MacBook 2015. It can also be used to charge a smartphone using power from a Type-C enabled computer or tablet.
Moreover, it can also be used with an adapter to connect the MacBook 2015 to a wired Internet connection or even a bigger monitor. The traditional Thunderbolt and Firewire connectors can also be utilized, but with the correct USB-C adapter.
"It's the single source for delivering audio, video, data and power simultaneously all over one connection," said USB Implementers Forum President Jeff Ravencraft.
Another reason why Apple users should love the new USB-C connection is the 2015 MacBook's optimized design and performance. Some have raised concerns that the lack of several ports will be inconvenient, but it should be worth noting that the new Apple laptop is made for light tasks, according to Cheat Sheet.
The MacBook 2015 features the Intel Core M "Broadwell" processor, which consumes energy efficiently. Using the USB-C connector, it may only take one overnight charge for a full day's use.
