Fans will be seeing famous characters in video games invade the human world in the upcoming film "Pixels." While Pacman and Donkey Kong are featured in the film, video game character Lady Lisa can also be downloaded as an app.

"Pixels" is an upcoming American science-fiction film following the hopes of creating peaceful interaction with life in the outer space, which was misinterpreted by the latter.

The upcoming film will star Adam Sandler as Sam Brenner, Kevin James as President William Cooper, Jane Krakowski as the First Lady, and Ashley Benson as Lady Lisa.

Other members of the cast include Josh Gad, Peter Dinklage, Michelle Monaghan, Brian Cox, Sean Bean, and Denis Akiyama.

A trailer has been released recently and Pacman and Donkey Kong are two notable video game characters that will act as villains in the film, as per MTV. Pacman can be seen roaming around the city and destroying it while Donkey Kong can be seen throwing barrels. Tyrion Lannister of "Game of Thrones" will also be battling the ape from the video game.

The trailer also invited the fans to unlock Lady Lisa at Dojoquest.com. As per Comic Book, the game "Dojo Quest" is intended for "Pixels". The website features the game trailer, Dojo Quest app that can be downloaded from either the App Store or Google Play, and the official Lady Lisa fan blog. Lady Lisa Fan Club is said to be a Tumblr blog handled by Josh Gad's character.

Now Sandler and his team of videogamers must defend the Earth and stop the video game characters from destroying the planet.

The film is set to be piloted by Chris Columbus, with Johhnny Alves, Michael Barnathan, Barry Bernardi, Matias Boucard, Allen Covert, Benjamin Darras, Jack Giarraputo, Seth Gordon, Kevin Grady, Tim Herlihy, Patrick Jean, Steve Koren, Heather Parry, Mark Radcliffe, Adam Sandler, and Ben Waisbren as co-producers. Timothy Dowling, Tim Herlihy, Patrick Jean, and Adam Sandler will also serve as writers.

Principal photography started on June 02, 2014 in Toronto, Canada.

"Pixels" is set to invade theaters and cinemas on July 24.
