Elton John recently bashed one of the top brands in the fashion industry, Dolce and Gabbana, due to their announcement that they are against gay adoption and other stars such as Zoe Saldana, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi reacted to this.
According to Pop Crush, Dolce and Gabbana is against same-sex couples having children and the first stars who reacted to this aside from John are Ryan Murphy, Andy Cohen, and Ricky Martin. Dolce and Gabbana shares that the babies born via methods such as IVF are synthetic angering a lot of people.
DeGeneres and De Rossi reacted to this saying that they have no thoughts about the comment made by the brand because it's not worth commenting and it's a very ignorant remark. De Rossi adds that people are entitled to free speech but she does not understand where the announcement came from and who would want to say such.
De Rossi also said that the statement is not limited to gay and lesbian couples as they also targeted couples who wanted to conceive but cannot so they turn to technological breakthroughs just to have a child. She calls the remark stupid and pointed out that she will never wear their clothes ever again.
However, it's different for Saldana as she added that she would not boycott the brand because it would be the stupidest thing to do if she would let the remarks affect her choice of fashion. Hit Fix shared that Saldana noted people are entitled and allowed to talk about their opinion but she believes she would never be so public about a very sensitive matter.
Saldana added that it did cause a stir and sensitivity to the issue but if one continues to follow the news, people who got involved in the statements already hugged it out so no one should no longer make such a big deal about it.
