The heat about the controversial issue that prompted the call for boycott against Italian fashion couture Dolce & Gabanna never seems to fade as more stars continue to express their opinion on the matter. Just recently, actress Zoe Saldana, joined the debates as she calls the whole boycott advocacy a very stupid thing.
On an interview with E! News, Saldana expressed that she do not agree on boycotting the label saying "That would be the stupidest thing if it affected my fashion choice."
"I'm certainly not going to stop wearing Dolce," the "Avatar" star added. "And I'm certainly not going to be refuting when they are adopting synthetic children, however they wanted to say it."
Saldana also commented on how people reacted about the Italian's comments, saying that there is no need to make a big deal about it.
"Obviously, it caused some sensitivity, but then again if you continue to follow the news, you see they all kinda hugged it out, so why are we making a big deal about it?" Saldana explained.
"I do think things are lost in translation," the actress says as she pointed out that the people must have misunderstood the Italians, and advices them not to judge Dolce & Gabanna for words they cannot express in English.
Being married to her Italian husband Marco Perego, the actress had her fair share of miscommunications due to language barriers, Daily Mail reported.
The controversial call for boycott against the luxurious label was started by Elton John. This is after disaggreeing Dolce & Gabanna's comments regarding gay families and synthetic babies.
The call for boycott was soon supported by the likes of Ricky Martin, Kelly Cutrone and Andy Cohen.
Madonna also made her stance, though she didn't went to far as to boycotting the brand, she expressed her thoughts by telling the Italian designers to think before the speak.
