Rumors that Microsoft Surface Pro 4 release date will come soon sparked anew as the Surface Pro 3 once again received price cuts and free protective sleeve.
Now, Microsoft is offering the Surface pro 3 with 128 GB with 1.9 GHz Intel i5 for $899 or $100 less than its original price. The 256 GB variant with Intel i5 now costs $1,149 or $150 off its regular price. Meanwhile, the more powerful Surface Pro 3 packed with 1.7 GHz Intel i7 and 256 is now priced $1,399 or $150 off. The 512 GB variant costs $1,799. In addition to the price cut, Microsoft is also throwing a free protective case with any Surface Pro 3 purchase.
Microsoft has not specified until when the promotion will run, but Tech Times advised buyers that this is the best time to buy the award-winning Microsoft Surface Pro 3.
One the other hand, rumors claimed that Microsoft Surface Pro 4 release will show off two variants of the tablet-laptop hybrid - one with 12-inch screen panel and another one with 14-inch display. Both models will allegedly sport a 2160 x 1440 screen resolution.
Aside from more options in screen display, the device will also pack Intel Core M Broadwell just like the current Apple MacBook. The tablet-laptop hybrid will run with Windows 10 operating system. The new OS will enable the tablet to have borderless transfer from desktop to mobile devices or the other way around. Moreover, Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will now be able to run desktop apps.
The current Microsoft Surface Pro 3 garnered recognition from critics and users. The tablet also received the "best tablet" award at the Mobile World Congress earlier this month. However, the Redmond-based tech giant has not confirmed the rumored Microsoft Surface Pro 4 release date.
